General Overview

eCinema Networks provides a complete end-end secure digital network solution to connect entertainment content providers to theaters and audiences worldwide. This is a turnkey solution and includes installation, technical support and content preparation and distribution. The solution integrates easily into the theater environment with firewall connection to the current theater network and ticketing and interface to the theater automation, sound and film projection systems. eCinema will provide project management to coordinate all logistics and site readiness specifications and do site surveys to ensure all installations are go smoothly.

Network Architecture

The eCinema architecture is a secure VPN network that connects the Network Operating Center, NOC, to every customer, device and screen in the network. eCinema utilizes high speed data transmissions speeds which allows pre-show advertising and trailer content to be transmitted in under an hour and movie content to be transmitted within 4 hours to every screen. Ecinema will provide digital content preparation, storage and distribution services from the co-located NOC where the complete worldwide operations can be managed in real time, updated and serviced. Operators can quickly program and re-program advertising play lists associating ads with features, theaters, screens, rating and time of day. They can send new ad or movie content to theaters to view and share play audit data. 24/365 technical service operators receive site status at there commands and Ecinema support staff can log in to any device and troubleshoot if issues arise, and take immediate corrective action. The wide-area network is connected to each screen in the theater via a managed through a central system, Ticket information is used to automatically distribute content to the screens and schedule shows and pre-shows. Theater members are provided secure access to all view the operating status of their theaters and what is playing and has played. Ticket information will also be used to identify movie performance and allow eCinema and its members to rapidly target and retarget successful movies for optimal box office results.

Theater System

eCinema Networks Theater System includes the following components:

• Windows or Linux operating system and license to operate all software
• 3-Chip DLP HD projectors with 720P, 1080P single and dual lamps 4500 or 7000 ANSI lumens depending on screen size and 2500:1 contrast , and HDMI live/DVD input
• Projector shelf and all mounting equipment
• Booth content player that manages the image display, controls the projector, automation and sound and provides device error data and play audit data to central server and Network Operating Center
• Live HD converter for live feed or HD DVD input and control by the content player
• V5.1 surround sound cards for input to the theater sound processor
• Automation controller for lights, curtains, fire alarm and film projector interface control
• Central server for connection to ticketing and theater management control of booths
• Gigabit layer 3 managed local area switch for connection of the central server to each booth
• Multi- gigabit network drops to each screen to support future upgrades to DCI
• 10/100 or greater wide-area managed router for connection to the external internet Virtual Private Network (VPN)
• Networks speeds of up to 50 mbit/sec on virtual private integrated with network Operating Center (NOC)
